The squash club will reopen on 12th April 2021 but with restrictions in place

Dear members

It seems like a long time since we first closed the club in March 2020 due to lockdown 1. We did manage to open for limited play during the 2020 summer months and we are now in a position to reopen on 12th April 2021 but with Covid related restrictions in place.

The UK Government has confirmed that Step 2 of the spring roadmap will go ahead from 12th April allowing squash courts to reopen for individual and same household activity, one-to-one coaching and out-of-school-setting activity only.

You can see from the England Squash timeline below the limitations in place from 12th April and the further planned steps leading to a full return to squash on 21st June 2021. Please note that the government may change these dates if the situation around the pandemic changes, in this event we will be given an update 5 weeks in advance.

Our view as a committee is that we should not be charging members when the club is closed or open in a very limited way. As with the previous closures, if you had a paid membership at the time of closure, we will extend your membership by the duration the club has been closed. We will send an email outlining the changes to your membership renewal date in due course. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

If your membership is currently overdue, we would be delighted if you would renew via my-courts, however before the unrestricted opening on 21st June this is not mandatory.

Your current membership renewal date in mycourts is: [[membership_renewal_date]]

Finally, the committee would like to thank all our members for their patience during this difficult year. We look forward to welcoming you back to the club at some point over the next 3 months.

If you have any queries, please respond to this email and a member of the committee will come back to you.

With kind regards

The Squash Committee
